3 yrs we've been building this production company, 11hauz! My sister and I. God knows its not easy. I'm a writer, entertainer, teen mom and college drop out. Spreading myself thin is my middle, first and last name. I find it exceedingly hard to maintain a 9-5. After a days work. I am exhausted and creativity is null. Did I mention I am single? My sister on the other hand is a full-time mom, housewife, choreographer and a certified fitness instructor. She teaches a "sexy Dancehall class." Location: PCNC and Silver Mountain in Park City, Utah! If you want/need the moves. She's got it! Our mission is to grow our company from good to great, live with passion and integrity, and care for our families. All while sorting out the dirty laundry. That's all to tell. Looking for credentials? That's our hearts job! Not some piece of paper! #DiveIn

Liquid Angel (Red Wine)

A night with JLohr
A night with JLohr

Walking to my car 4:00am mountain time.  The morning dark, streets empty, still, bitter cold and windy.  I constantly look over my shoulder flustered, hung over!  Thoughts of being kidnapped, raped, beaten, roams my mind.  My car is 500 feet away.  In the car, I reminisce.

We’re both on vigorous marketing, blogging, single parent hours but tonight we found time to relax and catch up.  I love this guy!  But, dating is not an option.   Instead we laugh, drink, reminisce and tell all.  The night great, filled with awesome! 2 friends chit chatting about projects, life.  We’re drinking beer, wine, eating chicken fettucini alfredo, while going through pictures of his beautiful Alaska getaway.  My appetite now intrigued for a taste of Alaska.  It’s beautiful! The glaciers, city and bar sights.

After climaxing in conversation and laughs.  We hit our tired peak!  I wondered: “Did I actually drink 1/2 a bottle of JLohr red wine?” Normally I’m a slow paced granny drinker, but whenever he’s around.  I pound it like a marathon runner! Stride after stride, sip after sip until the finish line, an empty bottle.

As we lay in the bed, I feel the itch to cuddle.  I fight the urge, bite my tongue. Unfortunately “liquid angel,” red wine says: “I want to cuddle.” He replies, ” This side feels good right now, but in the middle of the night, I may roll over.  You can cuddle me if you’d like.”  I state, “A man is suppose to initiate the cuddle.  I dont want to seem over agressive.  This is why I shouldnt drink.”  He replies “What?”  I said, “I shouldnt drink!  It’s easier to detach emotions.”  In that moment I fell into a cement sleep state. My body sunk into the bed like a ton of bricks!  At about 3:45am my alram goes off! My head spinning, I gather my things, head for the door.

It was short, sweet, awesome, fun! I appreciate every, smile, laugh, touch and drink.  The moments we share, invigorating, filled with passion.  That’s what friends are for.

I’ve been given bricks!  These bricks represent my talents, passions, true life journey! Building brick by brick takes discipline, courage to fail but I learn from these failures, push forward and keep building!

Let it Snow, Park City

Park City Snowy Days
Park City Snowy Days

This year, I’m  captivated, intrigued by white,  fluffy, flurries in Park City, Utah! Let it snow!  Calling all snow flakes!  Report on deck!   Snow doesn’t stick  nor is it heavy this time of the year.  Never in a million years did I think, winter, snow, gingerbread house building, sledding, tubing, skiing, boarding, anything winter would fascinate or excite me.  I’m a Jamaican,  tropical island, humming-bird kind of girl!  I love humidity, the beach, soft sand between my toes, sipping a margarita while watching the pristine blue, green, water waves linger or roll in and out.  However, living in Park City 7+ years  has broadened my view of dry snowy, mountain living.   I’m a tropical whore lover whose grown to appreciate, love, snowy days, dry cold winter nights, mountain views and fire places.   Lets not forget hot coffee, mocha or coco to warm up those extremities!

I now consider myself a “Trointer!”

Trointer: Tropical Island and winter lover!

This season I will be diving into winters adventures.  I love and respect her!

Halloween Hijacked

QueenMy intentions for Halloween, stay home and work! My daughter is fifteen.  Friends and candy, her mission.  Not trick or treat with mom!

Every year in Park City, Utah, a festive parade is thrown on Main Street.  The “Howl-O-Ween Dog” Parade!  The costumes extravagant, over the top, creative & animals participate every year!  “This year’s parade, hosted by Friends of Animals Utah, a nonprofit organization committed to improving homeless animals’ lives by placing them into loving and permanent homes.” Scott Iwasaki, Park Record

The need to get out transpired and I responded!  I recycled my queen costume from last year!  It was never my intention to participate, so that was my only option!   Recycle it was!

I’m circling China Bridge parking facility, for what seemed like an hour to find  parking.  My decision, head back home!  While driving a light bulb goes off!  I’m all dressed up, with nowhere to go!  An adventure had to take place!  I drove down to “Mormons Flat!” Hiked a short distance in my cow-girl boots and flashy queen costume!  It felt invigorating and magnificent!  While everyone was on Main Street taking in the festivities.  Here I  am fully clothed, in costume, hiking a trail!  It was meant to be.  Thoughts about life, love, business, family filled my head as I walked.

The best part was the beautiful mountain scenery!  Smelling the fresh, fall air, watching the clouds hover,  ducks swimming in the pond, the sun setting!  Nothing beats this!  Calming, elegant,  pleasure called nature!  Though I missed what must have been an amazing parade!  The trails of Utah, never fail.   It captures my heart every time!

Chai, Quiche, Balls, Business & Friends

QuicheTuesdayIt all started when a friend messaged,  “Linkedin?” This conversation lead to ladies breakfast meeting and laughs on Tuesday, 9:45am at “The Roaster.”  Tuesday morning rolls around and already we are late for the meeting, frustrating!  We finally get to “Park City Roasters” on Main Street in Park City, Utah.  While waiting we received a text.  She’s running late also. We waited, waited & waited.  Finally, my sister received another text which read.  “I’m here!”  She replied, “I’m here too.”  Our friend replied, “But I don’t see you.”  We came to terms, we were at the wrong location.  We jumped in the car and dashed towards kimball junction.  Upon entering, we laughed, giggled and joked about the location meet up miscommunication.   While ordering our almond chai teas, we couldn’t help but notice the delicious, mouth watering, open-face pastry treats incased in glass.  Though it looked yummy! I couldn’t pronounce the name! “Quiche,” in Jamaica?  Never heard of it!  After being corrected and educated.  We ordered 2 Spinach and bacon Quiche.  Our friend orders balls, not knowing the proper terminology at the time. As we laughed loudly in the packed coffee shop, jokes referring to balls we were about to eat.  An older gentleman, intrigued by our ballsy referrals, jumps in!   Adding his balls theory to the mix!  A big ball of fun and a good laughs among strangers in deed! Once settled, we sipped from our “Chai Tea.” The aroma and taste of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, along with other spices and almond milk, lifted our taste buds.   It was a magnificent flavorful blend.   As we cut into our Fluffy Bacon and Spinach Quiche. Our mouths watered! Savoring the creamy, salty, cheesy taste!  We were so intrigued by the flavor .  We order 5 Quiches total through out the meeting between the 2 of us.  My sis and I!  Yes, we love food!  Greedy goes well with our character.

As time went on, we chit chatted about Business, marketing, activities, books & family! My favorite part of  the conversation, “Men are like waffles,” focusing on one thing at a time theory while “women are like spaghetti,” intertwined in the chaotic chores of life, business, and at times we become distracted by shiny things.  Throwing ourselves off focus but eventually we return and get it done.

This was exactly what I needed!  Time out the house, away from the kids, business, normalcy! I was engaged in good ole fashion girl time!  Life is boring and normal when I dont spice it up.  I become depressed, needy and off my rocker!  I woke up this morning feeling refreshed, vibrant, alive!  I also learned about my 3 new loves!

1. Anything referring to balls!

2. Quiche

3. Chai Tea
