If there is one thing I love, its a good ole fashion burger! My parents are pescatarian!
Definition: Occasionally used to describe those who abstain from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish. Although the word is not commonly used and a pescatarian is not technically a vegetarian, more and more people are adopting this kind of diet, usually for health reasons or as a stepping stone to a fully vegetarian diet. Pescetarians often believe that moderate consumption of fish or fish oils, which are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, is necessary for optimum health, although vegetarian alternatives, such as flax seed oil, are available.
Today my mom decided to make a “Black Bean Vegan Burger, from scratch!” My first thought, YUCK! I must say I swallowed my words after the first bite! I then swallowed the whole burger! Check out the steps below for a delicious vegan burger friends! Let us know what you think!
Step 1: Combine sweet potato and black beans in food processor and season to your liking!
Step 2: Form bean burger patties to your liking and fry or bake in coconut oil

Growing up in Jamaica, Roti was not a common household name! Nor do I remember eating it at all to be honest! Roti is a Caribbean/Indian Recipe. Roti is a flat, round bread cooked on a griddle. Some Roti recipes incorporate dal puri (chickpea/Lentil). Roti is usually served on the side or wrapped with a meat of your choice (preferably curry dishes) or veggies.
This sweet, flat, moist bread can tantalize any taste bud! I’m addicted to this tasty treat myself! We try not to cook it much at home because of it’s addicting properties, flavors! “Call me the Roti monster!” Words of MekaDayz Hamil, Roti Specialist!
