Jamaican Black Bean Burger (Vegan)

If there is one thing I love, its a good ole fashion burger!   My parents are pescatarian!

Pescatarian

Definition: Occasionally used to describe those who abstain from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish. Although the word is not commonly used and a pescatarian is not technically a vegetarian, more and more people are adopting this kind of diet, usually for health reasons or as a stepping stone to a fully vegetarian diet. Pescetarians often believe that moderate consumption of fish or fish oils, which are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, is necessary for optimum health, although vegetarian alternatives, such as flax seed oil, are available.

Today my mom decided to make a “Black Bean Vegan Burger, from scratch!”  My first thought, YUCK!  I must say I swallowed my words after the first bite!  I then swallowed the whole burger!  Check out the steps below for a delicious vegan burger friends!  Let us know what you think!

What’s Tofu?  According to Wikipedia:

“Tofu (Chinese豆腐 dòufuJapanese豆腐 or とうふ tōfuKorean두부 dubu), also called bean curd, is a food made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. It is a component in many East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines.[3][4] There are many different varieties of tofu, including fresh tofu and tofu that has been processed in some way.
